Our Farm Story
Mount Rainier Ecofarm was homesteaded in the 1880s and has held senior water rights since the Tieton irrigation project reached the valley in the 1920s. Every berry we grow is watered by pristine snowmelt off Mount Rainier.
We’ve never put a synthetic input into this ground. No pesticides, no herbicides, ever. A deep drainage barrier rings the property so no runoff from neighboring land can reach our soil either.
We’re a small family farm, and we didn’t plant the easy things. Alongside blueberries and blackberries, we grow aronia, black currants, gooseberries, and black grapes, varieties most American farms gave up on decades ago, some of them nearly impossible to find grown organically in this country at all. We dry and mill it all ourselves, into a jar you can shake onto anything, any day.
Berrysprinkles was the first thing we brought out of it. It won’t be the last.
If you’re ever in Washington, come see it yourself. Our U-Pick season runs from Rhabarberfest in spring to FigFest on Labor Day weekend.
